The Smith Law Group is a full-service law firm located in Fleetwood, Berks County, Pennsylvania, conveniently situated within two hours of any courthouse in eastern Pennsylvania. Founded in 2005 as the Law Office of James M. Smith, the firm took up residence in a small, one-room office in Reading and grew steadily over the years to a full-service law firm handling a wide range of legal issues for clients of every walk of life. In 2006, it expanded to its current location along Route 222 in Richmond Township, Berks County. Three years later, it became the Smith Law Group, LLC, serving clients in all state and federal courts in Pennsylvania.

James M. Smith, Esq.
Jim Smith is the founder, and senior managing member of the Smith Law Group, LLC. He graduated in 1991 from Liberty University with a bachelors degree in mathematics and a minor in economics. After a few years as a liaison to international banks and trust companies on behalf of a major computer software firm in Malvern, Pennsylvania, Mr. Smith moved to Virginia where he earned his Jurisprudence Doctorate from Regent University School of Law in 1998. He began his practice prosecuting crimes with the Berks County District Attorney’s Office in the Spring of 1999. Mr. Smith spent four years practicing law with a Reading-based law firm before opening his own practice in November 2005, which has developed into what is now the Smith Law Group, LLC. Mr. Smith's practice has included hundreds of evidentiary hearings and dozens of oral arguments on behalf of the Commonwealth and private clients before all levels of Pennsylvania Courts, including cases before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and the United States Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Smith has three children, and currently lives in Fleetwood with his beautiful wife, Jennifer, his youngest son and one very large dog.
Adam W. Bompadre, Esq.
Adam Bompadre is a Pennsylvania native and a graduate of West Chester University. Prior to law school, he worked as an Adult Probation and Parole Officer for Chester County, and then as a police officer with the Media Borough Police Department in Delaware County, where he served with distinction for ten years. Mr. Bompadre earned his Juris Doctorate from Widener University School of Law in 2001, where he was named to the Dean’s Honors list, served as a staff member on the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law, served as President of the law student division of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and was inducted into the Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity for honors students. Mr. Bompadre has worked as an Assistant District Attorney in Berks and Wayne Counties, where he prosecuted major felony cases. Mr. Bompadre has also worked in private civil litigation in Delaware County, and as a criminal defense lawyer with two prominent law firms, actively defending clients in 23 counties. In the middle of his legal career, Mr. Bompadre put aside personal ambition and took time to protect our freedoms as a soldier with the United States Army. He was deployed to Mosul, Iraq where he served in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2008.
Randy is a graduate of Peirce College with an Associate of Science in Paralegal Studies and was awarded the Mary J. Walker award for academic excellence. Throughout his ten-year career as a Paralegal, Randy has obtained experience supporting attorneys in a broad range of litigation. Randy is the father of three daughters and resides in Berks County with his wife, Deborah.
Judy brings a wealth of administrative experience from the human resource, medical and finance fields with organizations ranging from a nationally-renowned university to a local, Berks County family medical practice. Judy resides with her husband Dr. David W. Christensen and youngest daughter, Renie in Berks County.
